Are You Ready For A New Assassin's Creed?

Are we tired of Assassin’s Creed? Has it finally reached that point? Where we hear a new announcement and think, “who cares”? Assassins Creed’s first release in 2007 tickled everyone’s fancy. Its amazing free world game play blew us away with all the possibilities it held. Once we got our hands on it we were immediately hit with constant amounts of repetition. Our hope for a new perfect game was destroyed by constantly diving off church towers and eaves dropping to find a new target. It was an honest disappoint until, two years later, we were introduced to Assassins Creed Two. It blew through with amazing graphics and intuitive controls and in my opinion is the best to date. So where did it all go wrong?

Back to back releases. We had assassin theories and conspiracies shoved down our throats. It was, put lightly, intense. The name Assassins Creed soon became monotonous and to the point that we didn’t even know what to do with so much story. Or even know the placement. Was Assassin’s Creed: Brother Assassins Creed 2/3? Assassins Creed Two part two? We just saw this name brand multimillion dollar game and rushed to buy it because “I already purchased the first two”.

With the release date of Assassins IV announced not even six months after the third was released we need to take a step back and think of the ways this can go. Could they take the game play of the third and perfect it, or continue to deliver a glitchy experience and “wait what” endings.

I have personally just recently gotten over the ending of AC3. I say that with much disappointment, and at this moment doesn’t entice me to buy AC4. Will I be on the midnight release line for AC4? Of course, since it is Assassins Creed. But how long can they play the Apple card by delivering semi complete products? This all goes into personal opinions, but the fact that Ubisoft isn’t treating their baby with better time and safety is scary.

  1. Im sorry i ever discovered this series…….it was perfect until revelations tower defense …..then part 3 was supposed to be the grand finale, but it was just bugged as hell and felt like a different game series altogether., plus demonds ending was the worst of any game i have ever played. Why did they even bother to train him? It all seemed like a big wasted opportunity, even though we got AC2 out of it. Im also sick of all the ‘no real conclusion’ endings, it would be like if i just stopped typing in the middle of my sente
