'Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag' Blowout – New Details, Screens, & Trailers

Officially announced last week, today Ubisoft has pulled back the curtain from Assassin’’s Creed IV: Black Flag. We have all of the first details, plus the debut trailer and screens for you to check out. The new installment in the hit Assassin’s Creed franchise will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U™ on October 29, 2013. The game is also being developed for the newly announced PlayStation 4, PC, and other next-gen consoles. However the release date for those is yet to be revealed.

Having been in development for almost two years by Assassin’’s Creed teams in Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft studios in Annecy, Bucharest, Kiev, Quebec, Singapore and Sofia,  Assassin’’s Creed IV: Black Flag follows the story of a new character in the Assassin’s Universe, Edward Kenway. An former member of the  British Royal Navy, Edward falls into piracy, and like the rest of the Assassin’s we have come to know, soon finds himself in the longtime war between Assassins and Templars. As has been seen with the previous installments of the game, Sony and Ubisoft have teamed up to provide gamers who purchase Assassin’’s Creed IV Black Flag on PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 can download an additional and exclusive gameplay DLC via the PlayStation Network after the game’s launch.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag comes out for PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on October 29, 2013. PS4, PC, and next-gen versions are coming as well.
