E3 2012: 'Gears of War: Judgment' Officially Unveiled; Screens, Trailer, Details Included

Teased by GameInformer last week, Microsoft Studios and Epic Games have officially announced the next part of the best selling Gears of War franchise, Gears of War: Judgment. Judgment is a prequel to the Xbox 360 trilogy that takes place right after Emergence Day (which sets up the events for the rest of the series).

The campaign, which is playable from 1-4 people cooperatively, focuses on Kilo Squad – led by Damon Baird and Augustus “The Cole Train” Cole. The team is also joined by franchise newcomers, Sofia Hendricks and Garron Paduk. The team aims to save the besieged city of Halvo Bay from the new Locust threat.

Epic Games promises to deliver a faster paced, more action packed Gears experience with smarter AI and a new “smart” spawn system for both Campaign and Multiplayer.
