2K Games and Gearbox Announce Borderlands 2 Limited and Collector's Editions

2K Games and Gearbox Software have announced two different special limited editions for Borderlands 2. They are as follows:

    • The Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s Edition ($99.99)
      • Copy of Borderlands 2
      • Marcus Kincaid Bobblehead
      • Inside the Vault: The Art & Design of Borderlands 2 hardbound book
      • Collectible Sticker Set
      • Map of Pandora
      • Digital Comic download code
      • Downloadable in-game content (no specifics revealed yet)

      • The Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition. ($149.99)
        • All of the items from the Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s Edition
        • Collectible Scaled Replica of the red loot chest
        • Steel book case
        • Creatures of Pandora wide-format ID chart
        • Lithograph postcard set
        • Field notes from Sir Hammerlock
        • Cloth Map of Pandora
        • Numbered certificate of authenticity

Both of the special editions will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions of the game.


In addition to the collector’s editions, anyone who pre-orders any of the editions of Borderlands 2 (including the standard) from participating retailers will also gain access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club. The Premiere club will allow gamers to download the following items:

      • A Golden Key – Used to unlock a rare in-game item in the Golden Sanctuary Loot Chest

Borderlands 2 will be available in North America on September 18, 2012, and internationally on September 21, 2012.

  1. for what you get with the ultimate edition…. its actually worth it. most collector editions aren’t worth the extra price tag.
