Bethesda Announces 'The Elder Scrolls Online' Coming In 2013

Bethesda Softworks announced today the development of the longtime rumored MMO based on The Elder Scrolls Universe. The Elder Scrolls Online, an MMO in development at ZeniMax Online Studios. The game, set for a PC and Mac 2013 release, will be the first Elder Scrolls title to allow gamers to play the Elder Scrolls world with others.

According to Bethesda’s press release: Details about the game are revealed in an exclusive cover story in Game Informer’s June issue.

“We have been working hard to create an online world in which players will be able to experience the epic Elder Scrolls universe with their friends, something fans have long said they wanted,” said Matt Firor, game director of The Elder Scrolls Online. “It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years. The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made – and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.”

In addition to the GameInformer exclusive details reveal, The Elder Scrolls Online will also be featured on magazine covers across Europe and in online stories in the coming months which will provide gamers with more information about this title.

  1. Meh. I am a fan of TES, but I recognise a bugridden flop when I see it. Especially since Bethesda ain’t the company making it.

  2. I don’t care about this piece of shit i hope this will not ruin The Elder Scrolls series(series that i grew up with)like WOW did with the Warcraft series. I am waiting for The Elder Scrolls 6 instead and some more intresting Skyrim DLCs. This looks like a WOW clone.
