PS3 Firmware Update 4.10 Drops The PSN Moniker; Introduces The Sony Entertainment Network

A firmware update to the PS3 was released on February 8, 2012. This will bring your system software to version 4.10.

Version 4.10 includes the following updates:

  • Setting the date and time automatically – The option [Set Automatically] has been added under (Settings) > (Date and Time Settings).
  • Network – The Internet browser has been improved for better support of interactive features and content display.

In addition to these few changes, the “PlayStation Network” is now the “Sony Entertainment Network”.  Everything has remained the same. The difference is only in the name. You can continue using your current sign-in ID and password to sign in to PlayStation Network (Sony Entertainment Network) and do everything that you did before without any problem. This is just a bit of rebranding on Sony’s part.
