Square-Enix and Ubisoft Team Up For Assassin's Creed Final Fantasy Crossover

No, that wasn’t a mistake – Another gaming crossover approaches as Square Enix and Ubisoft today announce a special collaboration between some of their most recognizable franchises, Final Fantasy and Assassin’s Creed. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations will be lending one of its costume designs to the FINAL FANTASY XIII-2.

The costume worn by Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio Auditore will be available as an optional outfit for Noel Kreiss, one of the main characters of FINAL FANTASY XIII-2, via downloadable content. Release details for this downloadable content will be announced at a later date.

Neither company is new to the idea of crossovers. For example, Ubisoft will be lending Ezio to the upcoming game Soul Calibur V and Square-Enix, well, all you have to do is look at Kingdom Hearts.

Make sure to check out both titles – The latest installment of Assassin’s Creed, Revelations, is already available on PS3 and Xbox 360 (PC Nov. 29th). Final Fantasy XIII-2 will drop on January 31, 2012 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well.
